All the items going on sale in Lidl Ireland's middle aisle this week, including watches, GAA rebounder, bedding and sleeping bags

Lidl Ireland is still putting items on sale in its middle aisle this week.

The supermarket giant has been forced to cull many of its offers for the month, in line with level Five restrictions from the Government.

The list for November 9 includes activity books, kids' watches, Microfibre Satin Bedding, Kids' Cuddly Blanket / Convertible Sleeping Bag, Wall Clock, Kids' Nightlight, Tin of Books, GAA Rebounder and annuals.

Lidl won't be putting any items on sale that are deemed non-essential – e.g. Christmas decorations, casual clothing and toys.

The retail giant is also in the process of removing from sale any residual stock of previous non-essential promotions.

Lidl will continue to sell items that are classed as essential, for example, for upkeep of residence and businesses, safety clothing, repair and maintenance of cars and bikes in the middle aisles.

Competitors Aldi has said all non-essential special buys are cancelled for the month of November but one time offers will still run.

However, items deemed essential that were scheduled to go on offer will still be going ahead.

An Aldi spokesperson said in response to an online question: "In line with Government guidance, we have decided to postpone all non-essential product Specialbuys promotions.

"One-off Specialbuys offers on essential products will continue to be placed on sale each Thursday and Sunday."
