Here is your hour-by-hour forecast for Christmas Day

Nottinghamshire could be in for a merry and bright Christmas Day this year, with blue skies and sunshine forecast for most of the day.

Forecasters are predicting rain late on on Christmas Eve but December 25 is due to get off to a crisp start, with temperatures around 4C (39.2F) and sunshine from 9am.

It will likely feel cold, but the sunshine is set to last all morning and into the afternoon until around 3pm for most of the county.

No chance of a white Christmas, unfortunately, but after a turbulent week of rain and floods in many areas, it's the perfect opportunity to take a brisk walk in the fresh air.

Boxing Day is expected to be more unsettled with a chance of heavy rain.
