Here is a full list of GAA players Conor McGregor follows on Instagram

Conor McGregor has welcome some GAA royalty through his doors at the Black Forge Inn during the first 12 months of the popular south Dublin pub opening.

But the UFC may not be Ireland's biggest GAA fan it appears.

Although growing up in Dublin, McGregor was soccer and boxing mad growing up and a die hard Manchester United supporter.

But it appears that the two-weight UFC champion is not a GAA die hard.

McGregor seldom posts GAA content on his social media, the last time coming back at Christmas 2020 when he sent out a congratulations to the Dublin footballers after their six-in-a-row victory.

At the time, McGregor smiled for the camera as he watched Dublin beat Mayo in his unopened Black Forge Inn.

Taking to social media, he said: "Congrats @dubgaaofficial! Stellar!"

And he later compared the Dean Rock's opening goal in that contest to his knockout of Jose Aldo for the featherweight title.

Rock scored in the opening seconds of the game and McGregor shared a video syncing the goal up to his knockout of Jose Aldo.

He said when sharing: "When preparation and opportunity meet! Stellar! @dubgaaofficial"

And McGregor only follows three GAA related accounts on his Instagram.

Here is the list.

Dublin GAA

One of Dublin's most famous son's of course follows Dublin GAA.

Although McGregor may not be a big GAA fan, he still supports his home county.

Philly McMahon

It's hardly surprising that McGregor follows former Dublin footballer Philly McMahon.

The Ballymun man decided to hang up the boots last year after a wildly successful career and is a big Conor McGregor fan.

The defender is friendly with McGregor's coach John Kavanagh and has done media work in the past in SBG.

And McMahon has also made it no secret he has used combat sports as part of his training when getting fit for GAA, as well as using it for a number of clients as part of his fitness training brand.

TJ Reid

Kilkenny legend TJ Reid popped into McGregor's Dublin pub shortly after his All-Ireland final loss and he got snapped with the UFC belt.

McGregor sent a message to Reid after the final loss, saying: "Real recognize real!"

While Reid said: "Thanks for having us"

The pair then went on to follow each other on social media.
