Here are your 2025 MyWhoosh Big Ride Challenge goals for July!

Big Ride Challenge riding image and logo.

On the first day of each month we set our MyWhoosh Big Ride Challenge riders two extra challenges to take on. These vary every month, depending on the seasons and where a typical riders's fitness is at that time of year.

They're easy to complete if you ride regularly, and most of them can be done on indoor trainers using training apps including MyWhoosh, as well as out on the road. Some challenges will focus on distance, or altitude gained, others on searching out new places to ride. They're designed to be a bit of fun, and keep everyone motivated through the year, no matter what annual total they're aiming for.

This month, no matter the overall distance goal you're aiming for in 2025, your first challenge is to complete your longest ride of the year. And if you like climbing then the second goal should be right up your (hilly) street! (Hint: kill two birds with one stone and nail both in just one ride…)

Sign up to the MyWhoosh Big Ride Challenge and choose one of the four distance goals - 500, 1000, 2500 0r 5000 miles

July Challenges

The Mini, Midi, Maxi & CW5000

All four groups have the same two challenges this month

1. Complete a ride the same distance as a Tour de France stage
2. Ride across a border

Bonus challenge!
Now we've teamed up with MyWhoosh we'll be setting a bonus indoor challenge each month. For July, the challenge is to join us on one of our Thursday socail rides. You can find out more about the weekly ride here.

The shortest stage at the Tour this year is the stage 13 individual time trial that is just 10.9km long. The longest stage is stage 2 at 209km. You can look through all the stages on our Tour de France route page. The goal should be to get as close as you can to a stage distance, either through meticulous route planning or riding around the block until you hit the distance!

For challenge number two, a town, county, country or state border will suffice. If it's an easy challenge for you to complete, why not see how many borders you can cross in one ride? We love it when our riders get inventive. However you tackle the challenges, be sure to let us know about them in the BRC Facebook group.
