We're still a few weeks from Easter, and yet supermarkets are doing all they can to win over customers by offering increasingly competitive discounts.
As we speak, stores such as Tesco are running half-price offers on some of their largest eggs.
You can snap up big-name brands for little more than a couple of pounds apiece, but where is the best place to get your hands on something that feels a little more luxurious?
The Liverpool Echo have taken a look at the prices of eight different 'luxury' style eggs at the big four supermarkets and bargains stores such as B&M to find the cheapest.
Not every store we looked sold every one of the eight eggs, so if we haven't given the price for one at any of the stores below it means at the time of publication it was not available from that particular retailer.
