The holidays are a busy time for everyone. For individuals who have to work in the days leading up to Christmas, it can be hard to find time to get all of their shopping done before December 25. CardSnacks, a virtual card company, revealed that more than half of its customers still send out cards on December 24 or 25. Not everyone wants to opt for a last‑minute e‑card or gift card, though.
Whether you are a procrastinator or just can’t find the time to get to the stores before next week, you may be asking yourself, “What time do retailers close on Christmas Eve in 2025?” Here is what you need to know about Christmas Eve store hours for some of the most popular retailers.
Walmart
On Christmas Eve, Walmart stores will close at 6 p.m. local time. Hours may vary slightly by location, so check your local store’s schedule.
