A HOST of Glasgow restaurants are set to appear in a new season of Come Dine With Me: The Professionals.

Six city eateries will battle it out over two episodes to win a £1000 cash prize.

The first episode will air tonight on Channel 4 at 5pm, and the other on Friday.

Saffron By Paradise, based on Great Western Road, Calabash, on Union Street, and Red Onion, on West Campbell Street, will all feature on tonight's episode.

The preview for the show reads: "In Glasgow, Saffron by Paradise face their fellow pros Red Onion, and some after-dinner dancing really puts the "bash" into Calabash's authentic African evening."

Meanwhile, Bloc, based on Bath Street, Amore d'Italia in Dennistoun, and Maki and Ramen, also based on Bath Street, will be shown during Friday night's episode.

Will you be tuning in?

Last month, we spoke to Magda of Amore d'Italia in Dennistoun, about the experience of filming for the show.

She said: "I was stressed, I was thinking ‘how are we going to do this’. You don’t know until the last minute, that’s what makes it more entertaining.

"There is so much preparation. You can’t make the menu too complicated. On the day of your turn to host, you film for 12 hours. You only have a short break to get changed before your guest arrives."
