Here are some of the changes Bill Callahan made to Redskins practices

As expected, a whole new vibe has seeped into Washington Redskins practices with Jay Gruden no longer running the show.

Bill Callahan is the man in charge now and with Dan Snyder looking on, the vibes surrounding everything on the field were markedly different.

This included an emphasis on captains, for example, according to Kareem Copeland of the Washington Post: “So, small tweaks noticed from the first Callahan practice: During stretches, the captains were in front facing the team, the entire team huddled up after breaking stretches, the offense and defense did a full unit (separately) period after stretches, couple college refs present.”

There’s also this rather big note from The Athletic’s Rhiannon Walker:

These stories sometimes smack of being a little silly overall. But here, it’s a little notable to hear just how much things have changed already in the span of a few days.

Accountability has been a major theme so far, though we’ll see if it is enough to pull the team back from the brink of an 0-5 start.
