Here are Kareem Jackson’s contract details with Broncos

The Denver Broncos plan to sign former Houston Texans cornerback Kareem Jackson to a three-year contract and while the deal won’t become official until Wednesday, we already know how much the contract will be worth.

Multiple media outlets have reported that Jackson’s three-year deal is worth $33 million, which is an average of  $11 million per season. Of that $33 million, $23 million is fully guaranteed.

That’s a more expensive per-year average than Aqib Talib’s former contract with Denver ($9.5 million) and Chris Harris’ current contract ($8.5 million). Harris, who is about a year younger than Jackson, may want to earn more than his new teammate on his next contract.

Harris has one year remaining before he will become a free agent and he’s a four-time Pro Bowler — Jackson is yet to earn a Pro Bowl nod. So it’s reasonable to assume Harris will want to earn at least as much as Jackson when he gets a contract extension.

It’s currently unknown how much Jackson will count against the team’s salary cap in 2019.
