Here are Jeff Heuerman’s contract details with Broncos

Jeff Heuerman’s two-year contract with the Denver Broncos includes a $1 million signing bonus and another $2 million if he dresses for every game over the next two years, according to KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis.

The 26-year-old tight end will earn a base salary of $2 million in 2019 and $3 million in 2020. Heuerman can also earn $1 million through incentives, according to Klis.

This season, Heuerman’s salary cap hit will be $3,187,500, according to Spotrac.com. In 2020, his cap hit will jump to $4,500,000.

After re-signing Heuerman and backup quarterback Kevin Hogan, the Broncos are down to $12,492,067 in remaining salary cap space. That’s still enough to sign another player but Broncos general manager John Elway will have to set some cap aside for the team’s 2019 draft class.

It’s also worth noting that Denver did not use $8 million worth of cap space last year. So there’s no guarantee that the Broncos will get up against — or even get too close to — the salary cap ceiling in 2019.
