Here are five of the cheapest houses on sale in Ireland right now

The housing market in Ireland has become increasingly expensive in the last few years.

Currently the latest figures show that the average asking price nationwide is €257,000.

But Dublin is without a doubt the priciest county to live in with the ongoing housing crisis making it very difficult for some to get on the property ladder in the capital.

While figures show that housing prices dropped for the first time in seven years back in September, the typical price for a Dublin home sits at €366,000.

However it's not all doom and gloom for those looking at buying a house as listings on property  Myhome.ie show there are a number of properties currently up for sale for less than €50,000 outside of Dublin.
