Here are De’Vante Bausby’s contract details with Broncos

The Denver Broncos made a low-risk move when they signed ex-AAF cornerback De’Vante Bausby to a one-year deal earlier this month.

Bausby’s contract is worth $655,000, with a $10,000 signing bonus and a $645,000 minimum salary, according to KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis. If he goes to injured reserve, the cornerback’s salary will drop to $408,000.

That’s a very manageable contract for a team that will have a salary cap over $196 million for a 53-man roster (an average of $3,698,113 per player). If Bausby doesn’t make the final roster, his “dead money” salary cap hit will be just $10,000.

Bausby (6-2, 190 pounds) entered the league as a college free agent with the Pittsburg State following the 2015 NFL draft. He has dressed for 10 regular season games in his career, totaling 26 tackles.

“[He] played a little bit for the Eagles I believe this past season, and obviously played in the spring league that just was going on,” Broncos coach Vic Fangio said of Bausby on Tuesday. “He’s got a chance.”

Denver currently has $11,687,067 in remaining salary cap space.
