It’s almost hard to believe that March is already over, or very nearly over. Is it just me or are the weeks and months going by faster than ever?
Whatever the case, as March breathes its last dying gasps, April is born and the circle of life continues. And with April comes a handful of free video games for PlayStation Plus subscribers.
It’s actually another decent month for free PS+ video games, though you’ll want to hurry and download this month’s truly excellent line-up before it’s too late.
As a side note, Sony has also announced that starting in March 2019 only PS4 games will be included in the free PlayStation Plus line-up. As such, I’m going to focus mostly on PS4 games in these posts and forego including Metacritic scores on these older games unless there’s something truly special.
Here’s everything coming to PS4, PS3 and PS Vita in April:

Of these, I think gamers will find plenty to enjoy in both Mad Max and Trackmania Turbo. The former is an open-world action game based on the popular film franchise. Open-world exploration and vehicular combat combined with lots of scavenging and crafting should keep you busy for dozens of hours.
Meanwhile, Trackmania Turbo is widely regarded as a pretty slick racer that’s lots of fun to play. It’s the first in the long-running franchise to land on PS4 so that’s neat. And the track editor is a nice touch.
Other than that, I admit I haven’t played any of these other games. You can kind of see why Sony is scrapping its PS3 and Vita releases at this point. The PS4 has been out for nearly five years already and by 2019 we might be getting our first rumors and news about a PS5.
