Henry says City ready to break the Mariners' shackles

The Central Coast Mariners are the one team unbeaten premiers Melbourne City just can't shake.

But City attacker Bryleeh Henry is confident a home semi-final is just the right time.

The Mariners and City, who are chasing an A-League treble, drew both their regular season matches and are locked at 2-2 after their first semi-final leg in Gosford.

Henry scored in that game and knows she and the rest of City's star-studded attack will have to take their moments at Casey Fields on Sunday.

"We have a good match-up," Henry told AAP of the Mariners.

"They've got a good midfield. We have a good midfield, good defenders, good attackers.

Holly McNamara

"So it's just going to be who can finish their chances."

A knock at training last week meant golden boot leader Holly McNamara was limited to a role off the bench - but she has been cleared to start on Sunday.

Henry stepped up in her stead but the pair also thrive when working together.

"I love playing with Holly," Henry said.

"She's so smart with her runs in behind, or even with the ball at her feet -  everything.

"We've actually played together for quite a few years, I think we've been playing together almost since we were like, 13. So we know a lot of how each other plays."

Henry, 22, has overcome a concussion early in the season to score five goals in her past eight games.

In recent months, she also earned her first Matildas start and goal.

"Scoring and playing minutes in big games and playing in the Matildas obviously gives you a lot of confidence to play and just believe in yourself," she said.

Matildas great and City goalkeeper/assistant coach Melissa Barbieri hailed the young gun's ability to "master" coming off the bench to great effect.

"She didn't make the starting 11, but she plied her trade every day at training, tried to make those adjustments in her game," Barbieri said.

"Then to have it pay off on the weekend was huge for us as a team, but more so for her as a player."

Claudia Bunge

Lying in wait will likely be Melbourne Victory, who hold a 3-1 buffer over Adelaide United ahead of their home leg on Saturday.

Defender Claudia Bunge scored twice in the first leg and is determined to finish the job.

"You can't be complacent even at this point, and with the buffer that we do have, anything can happen on the day, and we know their strengths and they've got some talented players," Bunge said.

"We're just approaching it like a normal game and not getting complacent at all."
