Henry Cejudo: Justin Gaethje ‘may be the first guy to actually knock out Max Holloway’

Henry Cejudo thinks Justin Gaethje would be too much for Max Holloway.

Holloway (25-7 MMA, 21-7 UFC) expressed interest in challenging “BMF” champion Gaethje (25-4 MMA, 8-4 UFC), but Cejudo doesn’t think it would bode well for him.

With 20 knockouts to the “The Highlight’s” name, Cejudo sees Gaethje hurting former featherweight champion Holloway, and likely putting him out.

“Who is it that’s more likely going to win? Man, I love the fact that Max Holloway is taking this fight,” Cejudo said on his YouTube channel. “I love the fact that he’s creating a story for the BMF. But when it comes to a guy who throws volume (Holloway) vs. a guy who likes to throw power (Gaethje), and he does it very well, and has been putting people to sleep … He’s too dangerous.

“He’s got too much power for a guy like Max Holloway. He’s going to chop Max Holloway’s legs. He’s going to calf kick him, he’s going to bring in those crazy uppercuts, and he may be the first guy to actually knock out Max Holloway. You have to give it to Justin ‘The Highlight’ Gaethje. I’ve got him by either TKO or KO. He’s just too big and he’s too strong. He’s going to go out there and try to get rid of Holloway within two to three rounds.”

In his seven professional losses, “Blessed” has never been knocked out. Holloway, who fought the likes of Jose Aldo, Alexander Volkanovski, Dustin Poirier, and Conor McGregor, has also never been dropped in his career.
