Henrik Mkhitaryan is a doubt for Arsenal’s Europa League last 16 second leg clash with Rennes.

The midfielder is still suffering with the “mild back strain” that ruled him out of Sunday’s win over Manchester United and was today being assessed over his availability for tomorrow’s crucial match as the Gunners seek to overturn a 3-1 first-leg deficit.

Alexandre Lacazette can play as his three-game suspension for a red card against BATE Borisov in the last 32 was reduced by one match on appeal but Sokratis Papastathopoulos is banned.

Arsenal avoided a Uefa charge after a flare was lit in the away end following Alex Iwobi's opening goal in last week’s first leg clash.

However, the French side have been hit with three separate charges following the match at Roazhon Park, including the setting off of fireworks.
