Henrikh Mkhitaryan is due to land in Rome this morning to complete a loan move to the Serie A club.
Roma have agreed a season-long loan deal with an option to make it permanent for Mkhitaryan who is due to touch down at 10.55am, according to the Italian media.
It is a surprise switch for Arsenal as Mkhitaryan even played as a substitute in the North London derby but shows their determination to cut their wage bill.
Mesut Ozil, the club's top earner on £350,000-a-week, is staying put and Mkhitaryan is on £200,000-a-week after his disastrous swap deal involving Alexis Sanchez 18 months ago.

Arsenal are expecting the Mkhitaryan deal to go through today before the close of the European transfer window.
