Celtic legend Henrik Larsson admits he is still shocked at how overcome with emotion he was almost two decades on from his tear-filled Parkhead farewell.
The usually ice-cool Swede starting crying in his post-match interview after netting a brace in the 2-1 win over Dundee United in his final home match of his seven-year Hoops career.
Larsson, who netted 242 goals in 315 matches, signed from Feyenoord and admitted it allowed fans to show a different side to him with the legendary striker a ruthless, cold-blooded goalscorer.
He bagged a brace on that spine-tingling day against the Tangerines at the end of the 2003/04 season and repeated that at Hampden the following in the Scottish Cup final against Dunfermline to complete the double.
Now assistant manager at Barcelona, who he joined after leaving Celtic, said in a Swedish radio interview: "I never thought I would be as emotional as I was when I left the field the last league match at home.
"I started crying uncontrollably. It's nice that you can be surprised in, for me anyway, a positive way.
"And maybe I showed everyone that you are not as emotionally cold as I deliberately chose to be on the pitch.
“They got to see another side of me and I think the people there appreciated it very much and that is one of the reasons why I am still so acclaimed there.”

And he revealed why he couldn't say no to Barca after he decided to quit Parkhead. He explained: "I felt that if Barcelona were really interested in me, there was no way I could say no.
"It's not possible to say no to them. It is a dream club from the past."
