Henrik Larsson makes Manchester United dressing room admission

Henrik Larsson has recalled what it was like walking into the Manchester United dressing room.

The legendary former Celtic and Barcelona striker joined United for a 12-game loan spell in the 2006/07 season during the Swedish off-season.

Larsson was contracted to hometown club Helsingborg, at the time, and went on to score three times for United.

The Swedish legend recently revealed that Sir Alex Ferguson wanted to keep him for longer, and now speaking on The Football Show on Sky Sports, told how he immediately felt at “home” at the club.

“I was 35 at the time, coming into that dressing room was a little bit scary with all the players there, with all the trophies they won, so it was a little bit intimidating,” Larsson said.

“As soon as I went into the dressing room, it was a nice bunch of lads that welcomed me and I really felt that at home there.

“Even though I was only there for 10 weeks, I still feel the way the club and the players took care of me was fantastic.

Gary Neville was moaning a lot, that’s his way of preparing himself for everything and making sure he was ready for everything in his bubble. He was very good.”
