Bristol siege: 'Flash bangs' as police enter under siege Morrisons petrol station

Footage circulating on social media shows the dramatic moment police appeared to storm the under siege Morrisons petrol station.

A video which has appeared on YouTube reveals audible bangs similar to gunshots and flashes coming from the window of the Hengrove Way filling station.

"Dozens of armed police have entered the petrol station," the narrator of Tyrant Finder UK video said, while alarms can be heard blaring from the scene.

Pictures from the scene show a huge police and amulance service presence.

Unmarked Volvo four-by-four vehicles and police units also appear to be at the scene.

Avon and Somerset Police has said in a statement: "Police are at the scene of an incident which has led to the closure of Hengrove Way, Bristol, today (Thursday, September 9).

"A man armed with a knife is inside the shop of the petrol station. Staff members are uninjured within a safe room and in contact with officers.

"One person has left the scene and gone to hospital with injuries not believed life-threatening.

"Armed officers and a negotiator have been deployed to try to bring the incident to a safe conclusion. Members of the public are urged to avoid the area."
