Hemlock Happening event in Bramcote Hills Park cancelled due to heavy rain

The annual Hemlock Happening event which was due to be held in Bramcote Hills Park today (Saturday, June 8) has been cancelled due to the weather.

The free family event had been due take place between 1pm and 6pm.

But after heavy rain fell across much of Nottinghamshire on Saturday morning, the decision was made to cancel the event.

The Met Office has issued warnings of flooding across parts of Nottinghamshire as Storm Miguel continues.

The Hemlock Happening is organised each year by L Leisure with support from the Bramcote and Stapleford Golden Jubilee Group.

A spokesman for the organisers said: "Sadly the decision has been taken to cancel the Hemlock Happening due to the weather."
