Veteran actress and Lok Sabha member, Hema Malini, and Member of Parliament, Dr Shashi Tharoor, released R. K. Chakrawarti's autobiography 'Galloping Decades' at the Constitution Club of India in New Delhi on August 3, 2023.
For the unversed, R. K. Chakrawarti is Hema Malini's brother and film producer. In his autobiography 'Galloping Decades', he offers an glimpse into his personal and professional experiences that shaped his life.
Speaking at the book launch, Hema Malini said, "This is an occasion I have been looking forward to. To meet and greet my friends and colleagues while appreciating the elegantly crafted autobiography of my brother, R. K. Chakrawarti."
Talking about the book, she further said, reported Times Now, "The book is our journey together, how we meandered but then came together. Being a celebrity sister, a dancer, we collaborated for so many shows. We had to go to the nook and corner of the country, meeting various kinds of people. There were some funny incidents, some very silly incidents-- all kinds of things that happen in the life of an artist. He has written about it all."
Meanwhile, Dr Tharoor also spoke about Chakrawarti's new book and praised his storytelling.
The first copy of the book was presented to Dinesh Trivedi, former Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha.
The event was attended by eminent personalities from the entertainment and political worlds, including Arjun Singh Meghwal, Honourable Minister of Parliament, who graced the event as a special guest.
