Helpless woman stamped on by furious bull as she's thrown around 'like rag doll'

Horrifying footage shows a furious bull charging at and stamping on a helpless woman in a rodeo gone wrong.

Others were thrown around like rag dolls by the raged animal at the Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo in Utah, US.

The event began with several people racing across an arena wearing inflatable bubbles.

But the situation turned dangerous when a bull was released, leaving the audience gasping in horror as it immediately charged two of the racers and tossed them into the air.

The bull then floored another three victims before turning its attention to a woman still struggling to stand after its last attack.

In the horrifying moments that followed, the bull used its horns to attack the woman before trampling her and moving away.

Spectator Emma said the event was introduced as “bubble ball bull racing” and it seemed harmless enough at first.

"When we initially saw them come out we were all laughing saying we wished we’d signed up, since it just looked like they’d be racing in bubble balls," she said.

"The goal was to run across the field and back in the ball, but about halfway through they let the bull out.

"All of our jaws dropped at this point. Almost immediately the bull started charging the different people running."

Emma added that the racers seemed to be volunteers from the audience.

She said: "Regular people, untrained, probably just randomly picked out from the crowd, were literally getting ripped up and thrown in the air.

"No padding, no helmet, nothing. With the last lady in the video, I was filming but my friend was yelling at me to stop recording because we seriously thought the bull was going to rip open her stomach."

Emma further recalled that the woman appeared to have sustained an “apple-sized” puncture wound on the front right of her stomach afterwards.

Jared Hays, who was also watching from the audience, said it seemed like a fun idea at first but things quickly got out of hand.

He said: "My wife had heard that this event was going to happen and we thought it was crazy but also could be very funny. And it was funny until it wasn’t.

"You can see by the video that, yes, they were hit hard and flipped into the air like rag dolls. The lady at the end got the worst of it and I sure hope she’s okay.

"She could hardly get back up but finally did with the help of two men who came to her aid."

A third spectator, who asked to remain nameless, said the woman had been thrown around like a crash-test dummy.

"I was scared because It looked pretty bad," she said.

"I thought she would have got broken bones or something, but the guys helped her up and walked her out.

"In the video you can clearly see that she got flung so she looked like those crashing dummies. Her legs flopped around and it looked really bad, and she got trampled."

Emma said the race on Saturday had changed her perspective on rodeos.

"I just think this is incredibly stupid,” she said.

"It’s a danger to the people involved as well as the bull."

Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo was contacted for comment but did not respond.

The nearby hospital, Ashley Regional Medical Center, was also contacted but said it could not provide any details on patients who may or may not have been treated after the rodeo.
