Bartenders encounter several types of customers on the job: the drunks, the rude, and, of course, the flirts, all while relying on tips to make ends meet. A California-based bartender warns more than 105,000 viewers that having a girlfriend won’t stop some male customers from wanting your number.
While on the job, TikTok creator Kaylee Silva (@kaylee.silva) shares an interaction with one of her customers.
“I did Apple Pay for this guy and asked him, ‘Do you want to come with me or do you just want me to take your phone and tap to pay?’” she says. “He was like, ‘Oh just take it. Put your number in.'”
Then, she reveals her discovery.
“So, I just paid and look at his front cover.” When she flips the camera, the phone’s front screen wallpaper unveils the alleged customer’s arms wrapped around another woman kissing at the beach.
“That’s a whole girlfriend!” the content creator says, shocked. Because of this, Silva pleads in the text overlay, “Guys, help me find the girlfriend!”
However, Silva isn’t fazed by this man’s attempts. “This is actually insane. but i’m not surprised, this gf needs to know,” she writes in the caption.
What did viewers think?
Many pitied the customer’s girlfriend.
“Poor girl omg,” one viewer said.
“Ur so real for posting this, thank you. feel bad for her however,” a second agreed.
“Hoping she finds this, my girl deserves better,” a third commented.
Meanwhile, others joined in Silva’s search for her.
“Commenting from Florida. Hope we save the Queen,” one commenter stated.
“Liking and commenting to hopefully boost bc this is crazyyy,” another remarked.
Are men who frequent bars more likely to cheat?
There isn’t a direct connection to bars and fidelity. On the other hand, a Washington State University research study found that the college-aged men who hit the bars or parties are more likely to be sexually aggressive than their counterparts. Due to their higher sexual aggression, these men tended to want or have more casual sex regardless of their relationship status. In addition, they had a greater chance of having multiple sexual partners.
Besides personality traits, alcohol can impair one’s judgment. Because alcohol lowers the drinker’s inhibitions by altering the brain’s chemistry, they are at a higher risk of engaging in risky behavior, such as infidelity.
Shoreline Sober Living states that the more alcohol one consumes, the more dopamine (pleasure neurotransmitters) is released. However, a person’s personality and the effect of alcohol aren’t the primary influence.
The NIH explains that a bar’s environment has the highest rate of setting the stage for sexual encounters than any other drinking event because most people go there to hook up. All of these can be a recipe for a potential affair.
