A Hells Angels bikie has pleaded not guilty after being accused of impersonating a returned military veteran.

Shaun Moffitt, 41, was arrested by organised crime officers about 3.40pm on Tuesday at a property at Peelwood, in the NSW Southern Tablelands region.

Moffitt pleaded not guilty to the charge of falsely representing a returned soldier, seaman or airman in Goulburn Local Court on Tuesday.

The charge carries a maximum penalty of six months in prison or a fine of nearly $10,000.

His arrest followed investigations by detectives who had been probing alleged criminal activity involving the Hells Angels motorcycle club since August 2025.

During their investigations, they became aware of a man, believed to be Moffitt, who had allegedly identified himself as being a former member of the Australian Defence Force.

With the assistance of the ADF, detectives allegedly determined Moffitt had no records of Australian military service.

Moffitt remains on conditional bail and will next face Goulburn Local Court on June 17.

Investigations into the Hells Angels are ongoing under Strike Force Benson, police say.
