So what is the biggest story of the year? Ross and Brand in Sachsgate? the collapse of the financial system? The devastation in Mumbai? Or the US election perhaps. According to Yahoo the most searched for subject on the internet in Britain this year is Britney Spears. Depressing. The remaining top five were Big Brother, The X Factor, Oasis and High School Musical 3. Only the US election made the Top 10, at No 6 reports today's Daily Telegraph.
