Italian outfit Hellas Verona have confirmed that they have re-signed Manchester City midfielder Ivan Ilic, this time on a permanent basis.
Ilic, 20, spent last season on loan at the Serie A club, racking up a total of 30 appearances in all competitions.
Having enjoyed such a successful temporary spell with the Italian outfit, Ilic has now returned to the club on a permanent deal, with an initial fee in the region of £7million agreed.
Ilic has penned a five-year deal at the club and will now be looking forward to settling down after a difficult spell at the Etihad Stadium. Signed from Red Star Belgrade back in 2017, Ilic failed to make a single appearance for City, being sent out on loan on four separate occasions.
After initially returning to Red Star, Ilic went onto have spells at FK Zemun and Nec Breda, before joining Hellas Verona last year for the 2020/21 campaign.
The Serbian, who has already earned two caps for his country despite his tender age, was also linked with fellow Serie A outfit Torino.
Ilic has followed the likes of Dario Sarmiento and Lukas Nmecha in sealing exits from the Etihad Stadium this season.
