Hell unfolds as deadly Dublin boy gang 'smack kid with hammer' in vicious attack

A vicious and dangerous Dublin boy gang "armed with hammers" attacked a 14-year-old boy in a gruesome assault as part of ongoing mayhem on the northside.

The group, who are said to be from another north Dublin town, launched the weapon attack on the teen in St Berach’s Place, Raheny last week.

It is understood that the same gang have carried out similar attacks in the last few months and are even understood to have battered another teen nearby just days after this incident took place.

The young boy was rushed to Temple Street Hospital after the horror hammer attack where he was treated for his injuries.

A source told Dublin Live: "The 14-year-old child got smacked with hammers in the evening time by a group of teenagers.

"This gang are from a neighbouring north Dublin area and have been coming into the area and causing hell for locals.

"People are genuinely scared for their lives as similar attacks have taken place in the last six months. It's only a matter of time before someone is killed or seriously injured by them."

A Garda spokesman said: "We received reports of an assault that occurred on the evening of Thursday, 19 November in St Berach’s Place, Raheny.

"It is reported that one male juvenile in his teens was assaulted.

"The male was conveyed to Temple Street Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries."

He added: "There have been no arrests made at this time and investigations remain ongoing."
