Helicopter called to police incident which saw road 'blocked off' by emergency vehicles

Pictures have emerged showing a police helicopter and emergency service vehicles responding to an incident in Bristol city centre.

Police were called at around 11:30pm yesterday (August 23) to the area, with South Western Ambulance Service also in attendance.

According to PC Joe Iles, the incident was over by 12:30am and no-one was harmed during the incident.

PC Joe Iles confirmed on Twitter that a police incident took place.

He tweeted: "Ongoing incident on Feeder Road, please avoid area and find alternative route. August 24, 2020 at 11:30PM #Bristol #Police.

"Incident concluded, everything all ok. Thank you all for patience."

Avon and Somerset Police have been contacted for comment.
