A helicopter was spotted hovering above a Bolton housing estate as police searched for a missing man.
Officers put out an appeal yesterday as they continued to look for Paul Etridge who was last seen on the Oldham's Estate, in Astley Bridge at around 8.30pm.
Residents living in the area reported spotting a number of police vehicles patrolling late into the evening.
Police have shared an image of Mr Etridge through the GMP Bolton North Facebook account and asked for anyone who may have seen him to get in touch.
The post said: "We are currently trying to locate a male missing from the Bolton area.
"Paul Etridge was last seen around the Oldham’s Estate around 8.30pm this evening (Tuesday).
"If you know of Paul’s whereabouts then please call 101 quoting log 2610 12/5/20."
