Helensburgh man appears in court charged with murder after woman's death

A man has appeared in court charged with murder following the death of a woman in Helensburgh.

Jacob Foster from the town appeared in private at Dumbarton Sheriff Court yesterday (Monday).

The 28-year-old was charged with murder and made no plea.

He was committed for further examination and granted bail.

A further court date has not yet been scheduled.

This follows the death of a 25-year-old woman at Helensburgh pier on Friday evening.
