Helensburgh body find: Police inform family of missing man

The body of a man has been found on the coast at Helensburgh.

The recovery was made at around 3.45pm on Friday, October 25.

West Dunbartonshire Council's £80,000 booze bill

Although formal identification has yet to take place, police confirmed the family of missing Rufus Brickell has been informed.

The 22-year-old was reported missing from his home in Edinburgh on Sunday, October 6.

He was last seen in Old Kilpatrick where he got off a train from Glasgow Queen Street and walked across the Erskine Bridge.

His family had made an emotional plea to the public to help find the Heriot-Watt student who is originally from Bristol.

A statement issued read: “We are extremely grateful to the police and those who have supported their enquiries in their efforts to trace Rufus. We would also like to thank everyone who has shared the social media appeals.”
