Helen Skelton and Gethin Jones have reignited romance speculation after the Morning Live co-hosts appeared close in a new behind-the-scenes video shared to Instagram.
The 41-year-old presenter posted a compilation of clips from a recent filming day with Gethin, 46, and the BBC team, setting the post to Taylor Swift’s The Fate of Ophelia, a love song from the singer’s latest album The Life of a Showgirl.
In the post, the pair were seen laughing together on set, with Helen writing: “Away day.... Thanks for watching @bbcmorninglive @gethincjones me and the gang on the road.
“Team are back inside tomorrow, I will be back with the team next week.”
The BBC co-hosts sparked dating speculation after getting close at the TV Baftas in May and were spotted “all over each other” on a spa date last month.
However, by summer, it was claimed they had “cooled things off.”
However, things reportedly soured when rugby fan Jones headed to Australia to watch the British and Irish Lions with a group of male pals, sources claimed.
The 47-year-old allegedly changed the location of his profile on celebrity dating app Raya to Australia and wrote that he was “keen to meet other women”.
“Gethin is on the prowl Down Under which puts the nail in the coffin for his romance with Helen. He's there with pals but keen to meet other women,” an insider told MailOnline at the time.
“There is no way Helen would stand for that if they were together and he has far too much respect for her to even go behind her back.”
The source added: “Despite having an increasingly close connection it's cooled down significantly which is gutting for fans who really wanted them to be together.”
Despite this, the pair have continued to fuel talk of a rekindled romance.
Last month, they were pictured sharing a cosy lunch near the Morning Live studios in Manchester, where Jones gallantly held an umbrella over Skeleton as they walked together in the rain.
The sighting came shortly after he returned to work following the death of his father, with Skelton spotted carrying two coffees, appearing to offer support to her grieving colleague.
Skelton, who shares three children with ex-husband Richie Myler, has remained tight-lipped about her love life since their 2022 split.
The rugby player has since welcomed two children with his new partner, Stephanie Thirkill.
Neither Skelton nor Jones has commented publicly on the rumours.
