Helen Skelton promises to bare all as she admits 'lessons learned' over 'challenging times' in new memoir

Helen Skelton has promised to bare all in her new memoirs, In My Stride, as she plans to open up about the 'lessons learned' in her life's 'peaks and troughs',

The former Strictly star and presenter of Springtime on the Farm from South Yorkshire on Channel 5 is lining up her new book for release on October 12, 2023 and today shared more details from the upcoming tome.

Skelton, who was formerly married to Leeds Rhinos Rugby League player Richie Myler, but announced the end of the relationship in 2022, today shared a link to the autobiography's preorder page.

While it keeps things a little cryptic, it suggests the memoir will look at Helen Skelton's love of walking and the outdoors, but will touch on a range of themes relating to her life along the way and has hinted at 'lessons Helen has learned' as well as 'challenging times' and 'finding confidence', all of which will be familiar to Strictly fans who saw Helen come out of her shell through her time on the BBC show and rebuild following her split with her ex.

The blurb for the book reads: "Helen Skelton is no stranger to doing hard things, from kayaking the entire length of the Amazon to competing in a boxing match for Sports Relief.

"Her ability to dig deep and find the inner strength and to carry on no matter the challenge - physical, mental, or emotional - is nothing short of remarkable.

"Helen grew up on a farm in Cumbria and credits her deep connection with nature and family for grounding her throughout the experiences in her life.

"In My Stride explores the lessons Helen has learned through life and adventure, sharing how getting out in nature can help us heal, grow, and find the resilience to move through challenging times in our lives.

"It tells stories of finding confidence, authenticity, courage, resilience, acceptance, community, and freedom against the backdrop of life's peaks and troughs and through the power of the natural world.

"Helen shows us how putting one foot in front of the other - whether that's on the Strictly dance floor or in the great outdoors - can help us to journey back to ourselves."

Helen Skelton: In My Stride is available to preorder in hardback now from Waterstones, WH Smiths, Amazon and other retailers for £22.00 RRP.
