Helen Skelton joins Strictly tour - but will be partnered up with new dancer

Helen Skelton has joined the Strictly tour - but she won't be dancing with show partner Gorka Marquez. The line-up for the Strictly Come Dancing live tour has been released with a shock twist for the finalists, reports the Mirror.

The 39-year-old presenter and the professional dancer, 32, were paired up on the latest series of the BBC show. They formed a successful duo and made it to the final together, which aired on Saturday evening.

Whilst the TV show is finished, it does not mean the end for some of the celebs and dancers that featured on the programme. A select group have been chosen to take the dancefloor once again as part of the live tour next year.

It's set to run from January 20 to February 12, covering many cities across the UK, including Glasgow, London, Birmingham, Manchester and Belfast. The tour will also visit Nottingham, Leeds, Sheffield and Newcastle.

Alongside Helen, three of the other celebrity finalists have signed up to be part of the Strictly tour. It means fans will be able to see Hamza Yassin, Molly Rainford and Fleur East dancing their hearts out once again.

The majority of the participating contestants on tour have been paired up with the same professional dancer they were partnered with on TV. However, Helen is an exception to this and has instead been given a new partner.

She will be dancing with Kai Widdrington on the nationwide tour. The professional dancer had been partnered with presenter Kaye Adams on the latest series of Strictly.

Helen is looking forward to the upcoming tour. She said: "Strictly has been the adventure of a lifetime and I'm so happy that it will continue next year on the live tour. I'm really looking forward to seeing the fans across the country and performing my favourite dances from the series. I can't wait!"

This year's winner, Hamza, will reunite with dancer Jowita Przystal on the tour. Fleur will dance again with Vito Coppola and Molly will be back with Carlos Gu. The line-up of celebs also includes Will Mellor, Tyler West and Ellie Simmonds. They will dance with Nancy Xu, Nikita Kuzmin, and Dianne Buswell respectively.

The Strictly Come Dancing Live tour will be hosted by Janette Manrara. The judging panel for the 31 performances will consist of Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood and Anton Du Beke.
