Helen Skelton has been heaped with compliments, being branded a 'boss' by fans as she posed for a new photoshoot. The Countryfile host has been chatting about her latest projects and also candidly shared a response to being quizzed on her split from her ex-husband Richie Myler a year on from making the sad announcement.
Despite the breakdown of her marriage, Helen has insisted her life isn't any different to anyone else's. In a new interview with Grazia, the former Blue Peter host was asked about her tricky time raising three children on her parents' farm after moving from Leeds to Cumbria following the separation.
"My life's no different to millions of other people's lives," Helen - who shares sons Ernie, seven, and Louis, eight, and one-year-old daughter Elsie Kate with Richie - said. "Lots of people have the same sorts of things to look after and sort out. I think life is fun, and short, and wonderful, and you just take each chapter as it comes along. There's no point overthinking stuff, you just get on with it," she added.
The former couple, who tied the knot in 2013, announced their split a year ago this month (April), with Helen, 39, penning on her Instagram Story at the time: "Very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple. He has left the family home. We will be doing our best to co-parent our small children."
Months after sharing the news, Helen was thrust back into the spotlight when she decided to take part in Strictly Come Dancing. The TV star made it all the way to the final of the BBC One dance competition alongside her professional partner Gorka Marquez and won plenty of support for not only her dancing skills but for coming out of her shell and embracing everything the show has to offer - including the sexy routines.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday (April 4), Helen picked up a like from her former dance partner and his fiance Gemma Atkinson as she posted a string of gorgeous shots from her photoshoot and interview with Grazia magazine. "Always good to catch up with @graziauk @hattiecrisell looking ahead to some nice projects," she typed in the caption before adding in a hashtag: "Work that works."
In the first snap, Helen looked seriously toward the camera as she sported a cropped black blazer with a wrap over her waist which she paired with matching wide-leg black trousers. But the mum-of-three kept the comfort as she added a pair of white flip-flops to her look before accessorising with a pair of gold hoops.
In a second image, Helen rocked the same pair of trousers but this time with a striped shirt tucked in and a different pair of sandals that showed off her red-painted toes. As she posed on a chair, Gorka was quick to ask in the comments: "Did you take the chair from our couples choice home?" alongside a string of crying laughing emojis, referring to their now-iconic Mein Herr performance on last year's Strictly.
And Helen wasted no time in cheekily replying: "No but I took the outfit for rainy days." The couple performed a sizzling routine to Mein Herr from the musical Cabaret for the quarter-final of the 2022 run of the BBC One dance contest. The TV and radio host oozed confidence in a black corseted outfit with smokey eye makeup, dark lipstick and with her blonde hair worn slicked back.
But back to Helen's latest post and Gorka wasn't the only Strictly star to be in the comments as 2022 winner Jowita Przystal, Molly Rainford, Felur Easr and Nancy Xu all littered the post with flames, hearts and love heart eyes emojis while Karen Hauer simply wrote: "Boss," with a heart.
