Helen Skelton cosied up to Dan Walker in her first appearance since her devastating split from husband Richie Myler.
The Countryfile presenter, 38, sadly announced the rugby player, with who she shares three children, had “left the family home” in a heartbreaking post on social media last month.
The couple, who had been married for eight years, had only just welcomed daughter Elsie, who had been born in January this year.
Since the separation, Richie has been spotted with his new girlfriend, Stephanie Thirkill, who is the daughter of Andrew Thirkill, president of Leeds Rhinos.
After laying low following the heartbreak, Helen finally made her first public outing to attend the Sports Industry Awards on Thursday.#
The TV star, who is also mum to sons Ernie, 6, and Louis, 5, debuted a new hair ‘do, switching up her famous blonde tresses for a shade of silvery blonde.
Helen looked happy and bubbly on the red carpet, and later met up with friend Dan Walker inside the ceremony, and posed for a sweet picture, which she shared on social media.
Reposting the BBC Breakfast star’s picture that he shared on his Instagram Stories, Helen looked delighted to be sandwiched in between Dan and Belinda Moore, wife of rugby legend Brian Moore.
She looked sensational in a figure-hugging cream midi dress with floaty sleeves, and smiled at the waiting cameras as she arrived at the event.
She finished off the outfit with a gold chain, black handbag and matching heels, and was later picture holding a glass of champagne as she let her hair down at the swanky bash.
Helen stunned her fans when she announced Richie had walked out on their marriage, just a few months after they welcomed their third child, daughter Elsie.
“Very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple,” she told her followers. “He has left the family home. We will be doing our best to co parent our small children.”
Helen gave no reason for the marriage split, but it was recently reported that she had allegedly hired a private investigator after becoming suspicious of Richie’s behaviour.
According to The Sun, she hired the investigator after feeling something was “amiss”.
