Helen Skelton and Holly Willoughby dazzle at Pride of Britain Awards 2022

Some of the UK's biggest stars have made an appearance on the red carpet at this year's Pride of Britain Awards at London’s Grosvenor House.

The ceremony, which celebrates the nation's everyday heroes and their bravery, is considered one of the most heartwarming and emotional nights of the year. Since the first Pride of Britain in 1999, royalty, prime ministers, and hundreds of leading figures from showbusiness, sport, politics and the arts have all taken part.

Among those attending this year, was This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby who stunned in a one-shoulder, bow-detailed gown with a luxurious tulle underskirt. To complete the look, the 41-year-old's blonde locks were styled into a chic ponytail.

Joining her on the red carpet was co-host Phillip Schofield with whom she posed for pictures. Meanwhile, actress Emily Atack wore a figure-hugging black gown with a messy up-do and a glamorous bronzed makeup look.

Pride of Britain Awards host Carol Vorderman turned up to the red carpet looking sensational in a show-stopping red gown. The former Countdown host opted for a bouncy hairstyle with vintage curls and a smokey-eye to top off the glam look, the Mirror reports.

Co-host Ashley Banjo looked incredibly dapper in a classic navy suit which he paired with a sharp black shirt and matching tie. Ahead of her red carpet debut tonight, Carol said: "We’ll have 12 incredible winners again this year, but it's difficult for the judging panel because we have thousands of nominations and everyone on the shortlist could easily win.

"We try to reflect what’s happened in Britain in the last year, so you’ll recognise people who have been in the news, but we aim to balance that with stories nobody has heard before. It’s a magical combination."

Love Island's Molly-Mae showed off her adorable baby bump as she arrived on the red carpet in a beautiful off-the-shoulder white gown. The 23-year-old was beaming as she posed for the cameras.

Sadly, boyfriend Tommy Fury was unable to make it to the event as he is taking part in an intense training camp with brother Tyson. However, Molly-Mae did not attend alone and instead had a fun evening with bestie and co-star Maura Higgins.

Maura opted for a colourful and dramatic look this year as she rocked a bright yellow dress with an exaggerated tulle skirt. Never one to shy away from a bold number, Maura proved that she can pull off any look as she stunned in the eye-catching halter-neck frock.

Strictly Come Dancing head judge Shirley Ballas turned heads in a stunning gold sequin jumpsuit and lovely vintage curls. To top off the look, she wore a bold, red lipstick.

Mysterious Girl singer Peter Andre was accompanied to this year's ceremony by his lookalike kids Junior, 17 and Princess, 15. Peter and his son both opted for navy suits, while Princess stood out from the crowd in a stunning shimmering black gown.

Peter Andre, told Mirror Online: "Only the U.K. does this. Only Britain gets behind unsung heroes like this. They show people that they might think the things that they do is ordinary, but actually it’s extraordinary. Pride of Britain is so special.

“I want the kids to come to events like this I really do. I want them to see it and to know that the industry is not just about what you can get.”

This Morning star Rochelle Humes looked fabulous in a yellow floor-length gown. The 33-year-old singer waltzed down the red carpet hand-in-hand with husband Marvin, who also looked suave in an all-black three-piece suit.

Ferne McCann, known for featuring on TOWIE, wore a bold brown and black dress as she rocked a wet hair look and a smokey-eye. The reality TV star oozed confidence as she modelled the daring number before meeting her pals at the end of the red carpet.

Author and Loose Women star Katie Piper stunned in a high-necked gown with an exaggerated trail and Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid beamed in a classy emerald green satin gown, complete with silver detailing.

Susanna's fellow Good Morning Britain co-star Laura Tobin wore a stunning lavender gown with a unique shoulder detailing and her hair in a tight bun. Good Morning Britain host Kate Garraway opted for a deep red sequin gown which she showed off alongside her co-stars and famous pals.

Former Love Island contestant Zara McDermott appeared in a gold sequin gown and former TOWIE star Megan McKenna also oozed glamour in a gorgeous lace black gown with an exaggerated plunging neckline. Love Island 2022 winner Ekin-Su looked fabulous in a classic black mini dress for her very first Pride of Britain red carpet.

Strictly Come Dancing star Helen Skelton stunned in a cut-out bright green frock which she completed with an array of silver accessories. Helen's Strictly co-star Kym Marsh oozed glamour in an off-the-shoulder black mesh midi dress which stood out from the crowd on the red carpet.

Their fellow Strictly star Ellie Simmonds also looked chic in a gorgeous black gown with dazzling shimmering detailing. Ellie, who walked the red carpet with dance partner Nikita, told The Mirror: “Pride of Britain is so special because it’s honouring the people of Britain. There’s so many worthy award winners and it’s always an emotional night. To be here and to celebrate them it’s just such a good night.”

Former TOWIE star Joey Essex rocked the red carpet in a classic black suit and an eye-catching red tie as he took a break from his Dancing on Ice rehearsals. The 32-year-old's former co-star, Jess Wright, wowed in a black gown which sheer detailing around the chest and waist area.

Love Island stars Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page looked superb with Tasha wearing a silver sequin dress and Andrew showing off his lean figure in a three-piece tux.

Former Strictly star Nicola Adams rocked a patterned grey suit as she posed next to her girlfriend Ella Baig who looked chic in a classic black gown. Speaking to The Mirror on the red carpet, Nicola said: "I’m really excited - it’s going to be a good night. I think seeing the VTs really brings it to life for me and really brings a tear to my eye.

“It’s being able to give back. Everybody there is deserving of an award and it’s about getting recognition for the hard work that they put in and the hours.

"It’s about giving back and showing that we appreciate what they do for everybody else.”

Hollyoaks actress Jorgie Porter looked content as she cradled her blossoming bump. The 34-year-old wore a silver sequin gown and killer silver heels.

Fellow expectant mum Lucy Fallon stunned in a white wrap dress which did wonders to draw attention to her blossoming bump. Meanwhile, Helen Flanagan looked incredible in a short red dress as she showcased her impressive pins in the show-stopping look.

TOWIE's Sam Faiers rocked a satin brown frock with feathered sleeves and Love Island star Faye Winter showed off her figure in a skin-tight dramatic black gown.

This year's Pride of Britain winners include a teenager who saved the lives of a young boy and her father before coming close to being swept to her death in a river and brave police officers wounded in a frenzied knife attack. A sailor who led a four-hour mission to save 27 men from a burning ship in towering seas and a schoolboy who tackles endurance challenges on his walking frame to raise money for charity are also among the winners.
