Helen Skelton and Gethin Jones’ close friendship has reportedly blossomed into a “deeper connection”.
The presenters, both former Blue Peter hosts and Strictly Come Dancing alumni, set tongues wagging after being seen leaving the BAFTA TV Awards together last weekend.
They were observed laughing and chatting throughout the evening, prompting further interest in the nature of their relationship.
Sources close to the pair have now suggested that what began as a solid working relationship has, in recent months, evolved into something more.
"Helen and Gethin have an extremely close working relationship and there's a feeling in recent months their friendship has blossomed into a deeper connection. They're both keen to keep a lid on it to avoid public scrutiny but there's no denying their closeness both on and off screen," a source told MailOnline.
Both Skelton and Jones are currently believed to be single.

Skelton, 40, separated from her husband Richie Myler in 2022 after nine years of marriage.
The former couple share three children — Ernie, nine, Louis, eight, and three year old Elsie — with their split coming just months after the birth of their youngest.
Since the breakup, Skelton has stepped back from some of her broadcasting duties, including her role on BBC Radio 5 Live, to focus on family life.
Meanwhile, Myler — a professional rugby league player — has since welcomed two children with new partner Stephanie Thirkill, daughter of the Leeds Rhinos rugby team owner, Andrew Thirkill.
Skelton opened up about the abrupt end of her marriage along with the impact of Myler moving on in autobiography In My Stride, and admitted it had been a “shock”.
She wrote: "I was in shock. I know that following break-ups, people often say they didn't see it coming and it sounds like a cliche, but that was me."
As for 47-year-old Jones, he has had a quieter romantic profile in recent years, having dated First Dates star Cici Coleman and, previously, opera singer Katherine Jenkins.
He has spoken openly about navigating the dating scene, but has remained single for the past two years.
The Standard has contacted representatives for both Helen Skelton and Gethin Jones for comment.
In the meantime, fans — and colleagues — continue to speculate whether Morning Live’s dynamic duo may soon be making headlines for more than just breakfast television.
