Helen Flanagan ‘wouldn’t rule out’ another baby just months after swearing off more kids

Helen Flanagan has had a change of heart about expanding her family.

The former Coronation Street actress, 30, welcomed her third child with fiancé Scott Sinclair back in March and at the time, the new mum that she no intentions of getting pregnant again after she endured a ‘horrendous’ pregnancy.

Mum-of-three Helen suffered immensely during her third pregnancy after she was diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum – a condition which causes severe morning sickness that left her bed bound and in and out of hospital for months on end.

However, after finally meeting her third child – baby boy Charlie – the TV star had a change of heart when she realised that all the morning sickness and hospital visits were worth it.

Lifting the lid on the experience and her future family plans, Helen admitted that she ‘wouldn’t rule out’ having a fourth child after previously swearing off having any more kids.

Helen, who is already a mum to daughters Matilda, 6, and Delilah, 3, said: “When you feel so dreadful, you do think, ‘No way, I will absolutely never have another baby,’ but as soon as Charlie arrived, I just thought, ‘You’re so worth it.”

“I wouldn’t rule out another.

“I’ve always said in my head I wanted four,” she told OK! Magazine.

While Helen is now very much on board with expanding her beautiful family, she is still apprehensive about enduring the immense sickness that comes with her hyperemesis gravidarum diagnosis which left her unable to ‘do anything’.

Helen explained: “It’s not just morning sickness, it’s really nasty. It absolutely wiped me out for three months – for a good two months I couldn’t even lift my head off the pillow. All the medication they gave me at the hospital didn’t work.

“My mum was my rock because Scott was training. We ended up living at her and my dad's for three months because I couldn’t do anything.”

After giving birth to baby Charlie, the new mum was also riddled with fears she wouldn't be able to look after her children if it happened again.

Back in May, Helen told Loose Women viewers that she wouldn’t be having another baby for a ‘very long time’, if at all due to her condition.

“I love having babies but when I think of the Hyperemesis, I couldn’t have another for a very long time because I wouldn’t be able to look after them, my poor mum would be looking after everyone,” she told.

Now, the proud mum-of-three is looking forward to welcoming another child to the clan, but she’s set on waiting until Charlie is a lot older.
