Helen Flanagan suffering 'mum guilt' after forgetting Elf on the Shelf two nights in a row

Helen Flanagan has admitted she's suffering from 'mum guilt' after forgetting to do ' Elf on the Shelf ' two nights in a row for her three children.

It's that time of the year in the lead up to Christmas when the naughty elves arrive in our homes and cause chaos - and parents are going all out to come up with new creative ideas each night before December 25.

But it can be easy to forget about the elves, something former Celtic WAG Helen has said she's feeling pretty guilty about after not displaying them for two days in a row.

Helen and her ex-fiance Scott Sinclair share Matilda, seven, Delilah, four, and Charlie, one together.

Last night, Helen set up her two elves in her kitchen to be making snow angels in self raising flour and left a note to the three children, saying: "Hi Matilda, Delilah and Charlie! I'm sorry we was gone this weekend, Santa needed our help in the workshop, we made some snow angels and had some fun last night."

She shared the set up and wrote: "Mum guilt as two nights in a row I forgot.

Earlier this week, the 32-year-old took her three children to see their dad play for Bristol Rovers on Friday night. The former Coronation Street actress split from the ex-Celtic player last month after 13 years together.

Helen, 32, cheered Scott, 33, on from the side lines with her little ones. Taking to Instagram as they watched Scott play, Helen shared a picture of her and her daughter along with the caption: "Watching daddy @scotty__sinclair."

She then shared another snap of her two older daughters and said: "Cheering on daddy @official_brfc @scotty__sinclair." Despite ending their romance, the couple are reportedly set to reunite for Christmas for the sake of their children.

A source told The Sun that the former couple plan to come together for the children's sake, but there would be no chance that they would rekindle their relationship on a romantic level. A source said: “Helen’s sole focus is the three children she shares with Scott and they want to make this Christmas as ‘normal’ as possible.

“Scott is a professional footballer so often he won’t be around on Christmas day because of his fixtures list, however Helen and Scott are planning something special for the children. Although they’re no longer together they will work together to make it magical for the kids. Helen is not open to talk of reconciliation and she just wants them to focus on being co-parents.”
