Helen Flanagan shows reality of trying to get three young kids together as she's supported by fans

Helen Flanagan had her followers showing their support as she shared a relatable moment with her three children. The former Coronation Street star brilliantly showed how she tried - and failed - to capture a sweet family photo with her kids but did manage to get some candid shots instead.

Bury-born actress Helen, who is famed for having played Rosie Webster in the ITV soap, is mum to Matilda, eight, Delilah, five, and two-year-old Charlie with her ex-fiance, footballer Scott Sinclair.

In one of her regular, honest updates about life solo parenting, the doting mum-of-three shared the results of her off-the-cuff photo session at home with her kids which she shared on Instagram on Monday (June 19).

The first image showed Helen, 32, holding onto a glass of wine as she attempted to cosy up to her kids. However, she appeared to be giving a side-eye to Matlida and Charlie as they appeared to be playing around while Delilah looked on while sitting patiently on the other side of her mum.

Helen could be seen sporting a plunging, halterneck sports bra in a pale green which showed off her toned figure as she paired it with some pink jogging bottoms. "Trying to get a family picture with my kids," she captioned the post which continued to show her attempts at getting the posed snap which ended in them all simply giggling and with showing wide smiles to the camera.

And it wasn't long before her fans and followers were responding. @karendel21 said: "I think u nailed it." @lucyclark896 echoed: "Nailed it." @tracey286 commented: "Gorgeous pics of a gorgeous family." @c.g_3087 wrote: "You are all adorable- thriving." @authorjackirawlinson replied: "Aw precious moments."

@stacey.lou.359 laughed: "Couldn't be more accurate." @menagerie_restaurant shared: "Ahahaha always the way, still gorgeous though." @melissacooper89 posted: "Awww love these pics." @mhodgkiss88 typed: "Glad it’s not just me that’s used as a human jenga tower." @authorjackirawlinson added: "Aw precious moments."

It comes just a couple of weeks after Helen was forced to hit back when she was trolled before the former soap star returned to social media and said she is 'grateful' as she shares a string of snaps with her three kids. The comments came after she, again, shared her attempts to get a sweet selfie with her toddler son.

"Charlie’s tantrums today were off the scale," Helen admitted before adding: "Trying to get pictures with my two year old." But while many of Helen's followers were supportive, she took the opportunity to respond to some of the negative responses that came her way. One said: "You’re why he has tantrums Helen the same as Delilah has tantrums. You are so overbearing and in their face all the time. I bet they don’t have tantrums like that when they’re with Scott and his mum?

"You said before that Delilah won’t you out of her sight and has to sleep with you. What tripe…what did she do on holiday with Scott when you weren’t there? You are using your kids to cover up your own insecurities and making them want you constantly and turning them into needy brats. You will regret your parenting style when they’re older," they added.

Sharing the troll's comment to her Instagram Story, Helen wrote: "Very strange some comments on Instagram. As a mum I want my kids to feel really loved and happy and safe. I’m affectionate and I co-sleep because that’s how Delilah is happier and I don’t want her to cry. She will grow out of it."

Helen was also hitting back at another commenter, who claimed she talked to her children "like puppies". They typed: “Why do you constantly ask your kids for kiss after kiss….like it’s not normal plus the way you talk to them is like you are talking to puppies. You need to act like their mum…they need tough love and discipline." In her next post, she posted a screenshot as she wrote: "Vile comments. I just love my kids."
