Helen Flanagan reveals her pelvic floor exercise tips and says they're 'really important' for new mums

Helen Flanagan has shared her pelvic floor exercise tips and said they're 'really important' for new mums.

The Coronation Street star appeared on ITV chat show Lorraine on Wednesday morning.

She demonstrated some of the exercises live on air with the help of a fitness instructor.

Presenter Lorraine Kelly asked her why the moves were so important.

The Rosie Webster actress said: "The pelvis gets stressed after pregnancy and birth.

"The more you practise your pelvic floor the stronger it gets and the more you get it.

"What was great about doing this, is I wouldn't have actually thought about doing this but it's really important."

Lorraine said some of the exercises would be good for yoga-loving Meghan Markle, who has just given birth to a baby son.

The Bury actress has released the 'Mumma Fit' fitness programme on TV.

Before showing off her moves, the mother-of-two chatted to Lorraine on the sofa about a potential return to the cobbles.

Lorraine asked: "Is Rosie coming back? We need her!"

Helen replied: "I miss Corrie so much. I definitely am going to be back, but it's just working it around my girls.

"Matilda is at the age now where she's four, and with me living in Scotland it's a four-hour drive."

The actress has two daughters, Matilda and Delilah, with footballer Scott Sinclair.

She congratulated her co-star and on-screen sister Brooke Vincent who's pregnant with her first child.

She told the host: "I miss Brooke and she's having a baby now which is amazing.

"When she found out she was pregnant she just rang me straight away, she's going to be an amazing mum."
