Helen Flanagan 'makes final decision not to get back with Scott Sinclair' after Carol Vorderman advice

Helen Flanagan was reportedly convinced against getting back together with Scott Sinclair after receiving dating advice from Carol Vorderman. The former Coronation Street actress split with the ex-Celtic star last October after she was spotted without her engagement ring.

Helen, 32, and Scott, 33, sparked rumours they had rekindled their romance as the pair enjoyed a lavish holiday to Dubai with their three children. Now it's been reported that Helen sought out relationship advice from her I'm A Celebrity... South Africa co-star Carol, who is open about her love for the single life.

The former Countdown host, 62, has discussed her 'five special friends' as she enjoys a very independent life. A source told The Sun: "Helen was at a crossroads in her relationship when she went into the jungle this time around.

"Carol became a kind of mother figure to the other campmates and Helen found herself opening up to her. She told Helen to follow her heart and put her children first. She advised that staying with someone just for the kids never works out. Of course they've got the kids and a huge history only time will tell if it's over for good."

Since splitting last year, Helen and Scott have continued to amicably co-parent their three children - Matilda, seven, Delilah, four, and Charlie, two - as they reunited for holidays. Shortly after their break up, the pair reunited for the sake of their kids on Christmas Day as they spent the holidays together.

More recently Helen and Scott were spotted enjoying a family holiday in the UAE, prompting speculation they had reunited. However, a source close to Helen has revealed that they are putting on a united front for the kids and not rekindling their romance.

A holidaymaker told The Sun: “Helen and Scott are both booked into the Grosvenor and while they're making out they're not together on social media, in reality they have been spending time together with their children.

“They seem to be close still and appear from the outside to be a really happy family unit. A lot of people around the hotel recognise them and think there could be a reconciliation between them but obviously they could also just be there for their children."
