Helen Flanagan hit back at claims she's lazy for failing to potty train daughter

Helen Flanagan fired back at those who say she is "lazy parent".

The celeb has delayed potty training for her two-year-old daughter.

Delilah struggled with hyperemesis gravidarum and the actress made the decision to delay taking her out of nappies.

Helen explained how her five-year-old daughter Matilda was almost three before she was potty trained.

The former Coronation Street actress, 30, is expecting her third child with fiancé Scott Sinclair.

But she took to Instagram to set the record straight after her approach was questioned.

She added: "Sometimes it's really not lazy parenting everyone's situations are different and I want Delilah to potty train happily where she was getting far too upset last time

"I defo need her out of nappies before baby three makes their way."

Helen said it was a case of when Delilah was ready for the next step.

She wrote: "Going back to potty training this month and lockdown. I really do not like potty training at all.

"I would have one it earlier with Delilah Pops but because I've been so unwell with my hyperemesis (anyone knows that's had this knows the last thing you want to do is potty train your little one).

"I tried in April but she just wasn't ready I don't feel, she would get far too upset and I wasn't in my own house so was more stressful. She uses the potty at home quite a lot and at nursey."

Helen last week revealed her third pregnancy hasn’t be an easy.

“Super grateful for my pregnancy and I can’t wait to hold my little one but to be honest I’m not really enjoying this pregnancy,” she began the lengthy post.

“This time round I just don’t feel like I’m enjoying it the same.

"Maybe because it’s my third and I just feel super tired and I know it’s going to be full on, I always just feel nauseas a lot and I just don't feel myself since I fell pregnant."
