Helen Flanagan beams with former soap star as she explains why she only took eldest daughter on trip out

Helen Flanagan was seen beaming next to a fellow former soap star as she headed out to an opening with her eldest daughter in tow. Taking to Instagram, the former Coronation Street star shared how she was enjoying an afternoon at a brand new Marks and Spencer's cafe.

The new branch had just opened inside the high street store in the White Rose Shopping Centre in Leeds and Helen was one of the celebrity guests getting to enjoy it for the first time. "I am a big @marksandspencer girl, my mum is the biggest @marksandspencer shopper," Helen shared alongside a video showing her visit with seven-year-old daughter Matilda, which included meeting Percy Pig and Colin the Caterpillar.

"I always always go to the @marksandspencercafe with my kids all the time you just can’t beat it." And Helen looked stunning at the event as she sported a hot pink dress that had been adorned with red hearts as she slicked her blonde locks back into a classic ponytail.

And on her Instagram Story, Helen gave a brief explanation as to why she had just taken Matilda to the event while her other children, four-year-old Delilah and two-year-old Charlie, stayed with her friend who helps her out with her three kids since she split from their dad, ex-fiance Scott Sinclair.

Filming Matilda tucking into some of the treats on offer, the actress, who played Rosie Webster in ITV's Corrie, said: "Got to spend quality time with my beautiful eldest girl," before posting a pink heart. She explained: "Try and do quality time with all my kids."

Helen also posted a selfie she had taken alongside Adam Thomas. The actor, who is currently back on-screen as Donte Chales in Waterloo Road and also starred as Adam Barton in Emmerdale, beamed for the camera as he held up his frozen drink. "The loveliest @adamthomas21," Helen penned.

It comes after the 32-year-old said she is 'not a superwoman' after her fans previously flooded her with praise for embracing life as a single mum. Helen confirmed the end of her relationship with Scott Sinclair last month after separating last July after 13 years together.

The mum-of-three opened up about her split from her footballer fiancee for the first time ahead of her stint on I'm A Celebrity... South Africa. She addressed speculation about her love life after rumours began to swirl earlier this year that she is now single. "We actually broke up in July," Helen told OK! Magazine about her relationship with Bristol Rovers' Scott, with whom she shares her three children.

Despite "running around like a blue-a***d fly" as she puts it, Helen says her new single family life is working really well. "I co-parent with my ex-fiancé Scott – we’ve got three children together, and we were together for 13 years," Helen, who lives in Manchester, explained. "My friends help me with the children, because I do work nearly every day. I have a friend and we’re a girl gang together – I’m not superwoman! So that works nicely at home.

"Scott’s living with his mum at the moment in Bristol, and my children are really close to their nana, so it works really well. My kids just have a really happy environment, with me and my friend at home, and then they have a really nice happy environment with their dad and their nana."

The actress admits that although she misses her “babies” when they’re with their dad and nana, she is now making the most of her child-free time. "I had my children not young, but young-ish – I had Matilda when I was 24 – and I just feel like I spent all my 20s being pregnant and breastfeeding at home," she said.
