So Helen, how’s life as a mum-of-three?
I like to be productive and yesterday I felt like I got nothing done as I was holding Charlie all day. But I try to treasure every moment because it goes so quickly. In 10 years’ time I’ll want more than anything to hold a baby in my arms again, but I do think it’s likely that Charlie will be my last baby.
Are you busy planning your wedding now?
We’re so busy with the kids [Charlie and his sisters Matilda, six, and Delilah, three], we keep getting sidetracked! We’ve just moved into our forever home, so we want to do work on that too. Scott [Sinclair] and I have been together for so long now that we’re being lazy about wedding planning. But I do want a big wedding to celebrate the fact that we’ve been together since we were 19.
Will you return to Corrie as Rosie Webster?
I recently did an acting workshop with [former Waterloo Road actor] Reece Donnelly. It was the first time I’d left Charlie since he
was born. I do really miss Coronation Street and I’d love to get back into acting properly again when the time comes. But everything revolves around the children now. They’re my priority. It’s just the way it is.
Are you a confident person?
When I turned 30, I became more confident in my skin. Not just in my appearance but who I am as a person. Over time, you just become a little bit more comfortable wit yourself. As I’m a mum-of-three, I don’t like to wear make-up every single day but when I go on a night out or have dinner with Scott it’s really nice to get dolled up.
Do you have a life mantra?
Don’t expect anything to be perfect. Life isn’t perfect. Focus on the positives and count your blessings. Don’t take anything too seriously and be grateful for what you have and for those who are around you.
