New Leeds United signing Helder Costa has sent a message to the club’s supporters are making his Elland Road debut yesterday.
The Whites’ winger was again brought off the bench, having missed out on a starting spot against Bristol City last weekend.
This time around the Portuguese playmaker was sent on to try to create a winner for Leeds after they had been pegged back to 1-1 by Lewis Grabban’s equaliser.
Pablo Hernandez opened the scoring for United just before the hour mark, with Leeds left to rue missed chances as they dropped two points.
However, all was not lost for the Elland Road faithful, who witnessed another strong display and caught a first glimpse of their impending £15m purchase.
Costa was quick to send out his message to the supporters after his first taste of West Yorkshire.
Posting on his Instagram account, he said: “Sad for the result but happy for my debut on this amazing stadium. We go again Tuesday #leeds #mot”
Costa could make his full debut for the Whites when take on Salford City in midweek in the first round of the Carabao Cup.
Bielsa’s side then return to league action against Wigan Athletic on Saturday, looking to get back to winning ways.
