Helder Costa finalises £15m permanent Leeds United transfer from Wolves

Helder Costa has officially joined Leeds United on a permanent basis after the conclusion of his season-long loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Portuguese winger has signed a four-year long-term deal at Elland Road, which will run until the summer of 2024.

The total outlay for Costa is understood to be around £15m, which will be paid off in instalments across the length of his contract.

As with many new faces under Marcelo Bielsa, Costa had to wait for his chance with the Whites after arriving last summer.

The 26-year-old did not make his full league debut for United until September 28. He has started all but three Championship matches since then.

Costa has three goals and three assists from his 40 league appearances in 2019/20. He is expected to return to the starting line-up on Thursday after missing out at Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.
