Heinz set to launch new 'mayochup' in the UK - and it's going to be called Saucy Sauce

A new Heinz sauce mixing ketchup with mayonnaise will launch at Tesco stores this month.

The manufacturers have decided against the obvious “mayochup” and decided to call it "Saucy Sauce."

The Daily Star reports that the hybrid condiment is not just a straightforward mix of Heinz Ketchup and Heinz Seriously Good Mayonnaise - it also includes a “blend of spices”, such as paprika, onion powder and garlic powder.

The sauce will hit stores on August 23 and will be sold exclusively Tesco, where it will retail at £2.69 for a 400ml bottle.

If the saucy sauce launch is as successful as it was in the US, shoppers are bound to be happy.

Scores of mayochup fans have taken to Twitter to declare their love for the product.

One customer wrote: “Mayochup is amazing.”

Another said: “Okay so, Mayochup. I have to admit I thought I wouldn’t like this but I actually love it.

“Something about it is delicious and I don’t get it, but I need to spread the word.”
